Obituary for Yemina Leem Martinez Garcia
June 26, 1984 – June 7, 2023
Our beloved Yemina Leem Martinez Garcia, 38, passed away at her residence in Racine on June 7 after fighting an illness. She was the daughter of Victor M. Martinez Saucedo and Blasa Garcia Bustamante. Yemina Martinez Garcia was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on June 26, 1984, and lived there until the age of 6 years old, when her family moved to Longview, Texas.

She lived in Longview most of her life until she met the love of her life, Carlos Garcia, and married him in December 2017, when she moved to Racine.
She was an active member of Fountain of Life Church, a worship leader, and ladies’ secretary. She enjoyed being around her family and close friends. Her hobbies included playing the guitar, writing songs, and utmost passion singing to the LORD.
Surviving are her husband, Carlos Garcia; daughter, Sasha Fermandi Alvarez; mother, Blasa Garcia Bustamante; siblings, Monica Martinez Garcia, Victor Salvador Martinez Garcia, Guillermina Perez Garcia, Carlos Duque Jr., Gilberto Guerrero Garcia, Imelda Edith Guerrero Garcia, and Maria Salome Guerrero Garcia. She is also survived by her nephews, Ricardo, Jonathan, Jacob, Dylan, and Marvin; nieces, Victoria, Amber, Monica Leem and Aleeha; uncles, aunts, and many cousins.
Yemina was preceded in death by her father, Victor Manuel Martinez Saucedo; sister, Maria Martinez Garcia; and brothers, Israel Martinez Garcia, and Marvin Garcia.
Services
Services for Yemina Leem Martinez Garcia will be held at 7 p.m. on June 15 in the Fountain of Life Church. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. on June 16 in Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family for Yemina’s daughter, Sasha.
