Obituary for Malachi Quiroz Belmares
June 5, 1996 – July 6, 2023
Malachi Belmares, age 27, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 6, 2023. He was born in Racine, Wis., on June 5, 1996, the son of Reynaldo and Grace Belmares.

Malachi graduated from Shoreland Lutheran High School, “Class of 2015,” where he enjoyed sports, especially wrestling and track. He was currently working as a swimming pool technician while going to school with aspirations to be a firefighter and paramedic. Malachi was a member of Racine Assembly of God. He enjoyed motorcycles, jet skis, walking, exercising and recently became a tattoo enthusiast. He will always be remembered as an optimistic, charismatic young man with a genuine heart who was always there to lend a helping hand. Above all, he was one who loved to hang out with his family – especially his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his parents, Reynaldo and Grace Belmares; siblings, Mariciela (Luis) Tesillos, Nico Belmares, his twin sister Gabriella Belmares, and Christina Belmares; his fiancée, Raelea Palacios; nieces and nephews, Michael, Penelope, Lucas, Elena, Julian, Alejandro, and one on the way; aunts and uncles, Raymond (Nancy) Quiroz, Mary Ann Escobedo, Rita Quiroz, Thomas (Kelly) Quiroz, Joseph Quiroz, Michael (Rhonda) Quiroz, Ermalinda (Dean) Schroeder, Edwardo Belmares, Leonardo Belmares; stepsisters, Rachel and Nina; stepbrother, Ray; other relatives, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolina Belmares, Edwardo Belmares, Alejos and Patricia Quiroz; cousin, Joey Marquez; and uncle, Alex Quiroz Jr.
Services
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Racine Assembly of God, 1325 Airline Road, with Reverend Ed Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may meet on Friday at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m., and on Saturday at the church, from 9-10 a.m.
