Obituary for James A. ‘Jim’ Castroreale
December 8, 1964 – July 9, 2023
James A. “Jim” Castroreale, age 58 of Racine, passed away unexpectedly in Milwaukee with his family by his side. He was born in Mount Pleasant, Wis. (Lake Park) on Dec. 8, 1964, to the late Ben and Delores (Bisher) Castroreale.

Jim was fun-loving, smart, and talented with his hands. He loved getting on a backhoe, driving, and repairing dump trucks. He was articulate, had a memory like no other, and enjoyed ‘80s music and classic TV.
Jim has impacted so many. Whether it was to fix autos/trucks, carpentry, or the snow, he was there. We were grateful for that, and he will forever be remembered. He already is sorely missed by his family and friends.
Each sibling holds a special place in their heart for Jim. However, Tony and Jim had a special friendship that was truly endless. They were bonded together since early childhood. Lori and her husband, Lawrence, had unconditional love and spent a great deal of time with him.
Jim is survived by siblings, Pam Smith, Tony (Kim) Castroreale, Lori (Lawrence) Balke, and Penny (Rick) McLellan; godparents, Anthony and Karen Ingles; godson, Craig (Rachel) Balke; special niece, Angela (Joe) Manthe, and several other nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his mother and dad, grandparents, nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services
Per Jim’s request, private services will be held.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the physicians, nurses, and entire team at Ascension All Saints – Racine, and NICU St. Mary’s Columbia of Milwaukee for the care and the compassion Jim received.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
