Obituary for Elijah Joseph Gershon Brown
November 17, 2022 – July 8, 2023
Elijah Joseph Gershon Brown, infant, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. He was born in Racine, Wis., on Nov. 17, 2022, the son of Desirah A. Varley and David T. Brown who survive him.

He is described as a beautiful baby with a pure soul and a contagious, positive spirit; so full of love and happiness, he was always smiling and in a good mood. He loved watching Sesame Street and Daniel’s Tiger.
Surviving are older sisters and brothers, Nadia R. Whiteside, Jezelle A. Whiteside, David T. Brown Jr., and Danielle R.L. Brown; great-grandparents, Lois Varley and Hortense Rodriguez; grandparents, Theodore Villalobos, Karen (Patrick) Wirtz, Rossie Brown, Gloria Thieding; aunts and uncles, Theodore Villalobos Jr., Alexander Villalobos, Ashley Villalobos, Jaden Wirtz, Logan Wirtz, Willie Brown Jr., Gregory Brown, Angela Brown; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Castulo Villalobos, James Varley, Clifton Mason, Mae Mason, Izear Brown, and Katie Brown; and grandfather, Willie Brown.
Services
Funeral services will be held on his 8th-month birthday, Monday, July 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Guadalupe Torres Jr. officiating at The Racine Family Worship Center 1846 Mead St. Racine, Wis. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet at the church prior to the service at 10 a.m.
