Obituary for Gail Janice Freehling
October 29, 1939 – July 15, 2023
Gail Janice Freehling (nee: Weber), 83, passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Gail was born on Oct. 29, 1939, in Stoughton, Wis., to James and Hazel (nee: Christopherson) Weber. She was united in marriage to Clyde Freehling on July 11, 1959.
After graduating from William Horlick High School, Gail went on to study nursing at Gateway Technical College. Gail worked as a Sales Associate for Bon-Ton Company, retiring after 18 years. She returned to the workforce for 12 additional years as a paraprofessional and school nurse for RUSD.
In her free time, Gail enjoyed crocheting, shopping, and exercising, especially mall walking. She was a member of Racine Assembly of God Church, and the Women’s Bible Study Club.
Gail will be deeply missed by her husband of 64 years, Clyde; daughters, Traci (Wayne) Guillien, Kristin Freehling, Kelli (Alex) Anastasovski, and Tricia (Eduardo) Cartagena; grandchildren, Danielle (Jerry) Contreras, Kolin (Kate) Guillien, Jared (Haley) Guillien, Kyle (Julia) Steiner, Brianna, McKenna, Joseph and Cameron Steiner, Natalia (Reece) Bauer, Aleksandar and Sofia Anastasovski, Zachary Demet, Aric Cartagena, and Marrisa (Nicholas) Nelson; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jacob and Owen Contreras, Josie and Penny Guillien, Georgia and Gretta Guillien, Jackson, Nicholas and Aurelia Steiner, Aiden Hellmich- Demet, Chloe and Easton Demet, Charlotte and Isabella Nelson, and Beckett Cartagena; sisters, Susie Sustachek and Vicki (Paul) Taylor; brother, Larry (Deb) Weber; and other family members and friends.
She goes on to be reunited with her parents, James and Hazel Weber; sister, Sharon Chambers; and brother-in-law, Jon Sustachek.
Services
A visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Sturino Funeral Home. A funeral will be officiated by Deacon Peter Redel on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Racine Assembly of God Church at 11 a.m., with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
