UPDATE Jan. 20: The Racine Police Department has identified the victim as being Michael Hardy, who lived at 3207 Indiana St.

Original Story: A 42-year-old man was found dead at 4 p.m. in the 3200 block of Indiana St. and Racine Police are investigating the death as a homicide.

The man was found while police were conducting a welfare check, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

Major crimes evidence technicians and investigators are on scene conducting an investigation. Racine Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time. The man’s identity and manner of death have not been released.

Racine Police investigators are interested in any information that anyone may have about this crime. Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7756.
