Three seats are open in Sturtevant, and only three candidates returned nomination packets by the 5 p.m. Tuesday deadline. Incumbents Jayme Hoffman and Gary Johnson along with former Trustee Daryl Lynaugh will have their names on the ballot. Unless a serious write-in campaign ensues for another candidate, it’s safe to assume Hoffman and Johnson will remain board members and Lynaugh will return to the board after losing to Hoffman in 2012. Trustee Linda Busha has served on the board since 2005 and announced last month that she wouldn’t run for a sixth term. The general election is April 1.
