A three-year old boy has died after falling into a pool at 2:45 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Shoop St., according to the Racine Police Department.
Austin Lueck passed away shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday.
After being pulled out of the pool, Lueck was pulseless and not breathing. The police officer first on the scene performed CPR until rescue personnel arrived to continue the effort. The boy was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital, then taken to Children’s Hospital by Flight For Life.
“This incident is believed to be a tragic accident,” according to the press release. “The Racine Police Department expresses our sincere condolences to the Lueck family during this incredibly difficult time.”
