**Updated 9:20 p.m. We Energies had 3,500 customers reconnected to power by 8:20 p.m. Tuesday after damage to utility poll Monday during the hail and rain storms was damaged. Power outages started around 6:35 p.m. and affected customers predominantly in Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant. We Energies spokesman Brian Manthey said the utility had crews out trying to fix a utility poll that was damaged during the storm that happened Monday. The affected area was bounded by River Bend Drive on the south, Oakes Road on the west, County Highway C on the north and Mount Pleasant St. on the east. “This is a feeder line and it tripped out,” Manthey said. “There was other damage that needed attending to. So we’re isolating the damaged poll and rerouting the power to everyone. We hope to have everyone back up by 7:30 p.m.” The first 2,000 customers had power restored shortly before 8 p.m., and the remaining 1,500 or so were up and running by 8:20 p.m.
