Happy Anniversary, Wisconsin Humane Society – Racine Campus! It’s hard to believe, but WHS took over animal services in Racine County a year ago so it’s time to party. Join the dedicated staff and volunteers from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Racine campus, 2706 Chicory Road. There is a $5 donation suggested at the door, but you’ll have to leave your four-legged friends at home. The party is for humans only. Here’s what WHS posted on Facebook: Since WHS acquired the Racine Campus a year ago, adoptions have doubled (from 880 to 1,680), 25% more stray animals were reunited with their families, and 722 animals from low-income families were spayed or neutered. We think that calls for a celebration!  We never could have reached these milestones without support from generous people like you, and we can’t thank you enough!  If you adopted a furever family member, we’d love to hear your story and see photos! Please contact us at racinecountyeye@gmail.com.

In addition to our education features, we’ll be kicking off a series of stories highlighting how parents, students, and educators are adapting to the impact of COVID-19 on education.
