Journalism. We believe it should help you live a better life.
That’s why we spend a lot less time on publishing mug shots and a lot more time helping you understand the employment market, figure out how to spend more time with friends and family with our events calendar, and what you can do to help businesses that have opened up. Make no mistake…we aren’t shy. We tackle the big stuff, like COVID and issues around race.
And if you believe in the value of journalism — that it should help, not exploit — please consider becoming a paid member of the Racine County Eye today. We can’t do this work without you.
After 8 years and 100’s of regional and national running and endurance events, 5Kevents.org will open its first retail/office space at 215 6th street in Downtown Racine on June 1, 2019.
5Kevents.org provides turnkey 5K race services to organizations and charities which wish to fund-raise or promote awareness. The organization makes planning, marketing, and execution of the race day event simple, straightforward, and profitable to the sponsoring organization. The need for office and retail space is fueled by the need to expand services to meet the needs of the market.
“We’re more than just an event company, we offer our clients all the resources to orchestrate a successful event from online registration, timing services, sponsorship programs, decorated apparel, signs & banners, rental equipment, medals, social media and web applications. We’re a one stop shop for everything our charity partners need.”
The company boosts over 50 events last year alone and owns 27 trademarked and themed events that it licenses nationwide. Many of those are held right here in Southeast Wisconsin and with this new space the company can expand further locally and nationally.
The downtown space allows us to showcase our digital, marketing, and event planning services in a new and expanded way while organizing our back office work in a more efficient way. We can now offer equipment rental services, greater retail offerings, expanded printing options, and a permanent meeting and presentation space for employees and customers.
“We knew we wan ted to be downtown. The company was incubated at the Launch Box, we greatly enjoyed the St. Pat’s Day 5K® during the recent St. Patrick’s Day Downtown Parade event with Downtown Racine Corporation, and look forward to our new partnership with Racine YMCA and Lighthouse Run. There is so much energy downtown. The time seems right to take this important step there.” said Flynn.
