When Racine County Eye asked readers to share some of the good news in their lives, Brittany Welch from A&W gave us a call about some really great news.

Not only did the restaurant’s parking lot at their new location at 13520 Northwestern Avenue get a fresh coat of blacktop, the Welches are continuing their support of the Wounded Warrior Project with a raffle for two tickets to the Aug. 28 Green Bay Packers pre-season game.

Raffle tickets are on sale now at the restaurant for just $1, and all proceeds will be donated to the project, which helps support severely wounded veterans as they go through the transition to civilian life.

Ticket sales will run through Wed., Aug. 20, Welch said, to give the winner time to make plans to travel to Green Bay.

“We’re committed to helping the Wounded Warriors Project, and this is just another way for us to do that,” Welch said.
