Family and friends of Shelley Baumann remember her as a cheerful person who seemed to never stop smiling. At a benefit Sunday they will honor her memory and raise money to help with her expenses.

From noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wharf209, 209 Dodge Street, everyone is invited to a benefit featuring music Shelley Baumannby Groth Brothers & Friends, raffles and drink specials.

Baumann died Sept. 18 after falling into a firepit Sept. 12 while at a friend’s house. She suffered third and fourth degree burns to over 80 percent of her body. Doctors in the burn unit at Columbia-St. Mary’s put her in a medically-induced coma, but Baumann succumbed to her injuries.

Packers Backers won’t miss the game; it will shown on all of Wharf209’s 13 televisions and the 10-foot jumbo screen.

To donate directly to the “Help Shelley Fight” fund for Baumann’s medical and funeral expenses, visit the Landmark Credit Union at 3413 Rapids Drive. There is also a gofundme.com page set up.
