The heat and humidity take a short breather early this week before ramping back up toward the end of the week preceded by a decent chance of rain Wednesday.

Forecasts from the National Weather Service indicate that eastern Racine County residents should be able to turn off the air conditioning and open the windows Monday and for much of Tuesday. Temperatures will rise to about 81, and winds will be light and coming off the lake.

Our best chance for rain comes overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, Wednesday morning and again on Saturday.

“A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms,” the forecast reads.

Temperatures begin a steady climb up into the mid-80s starting Wednesday and continuing through the end of the week. Dew points will also go up, so we should be prepared to turn on the A/C again.
