As Halloween approaches. the Racine Zoo has a fun event planned for the entire family.
Little ghosts and goblins are invited to enjoy the Racine Zoo’s 2018 Boo at the Zoo. The safe trick-or-treating event goes all day at the Zoo, Oct. 27. It encompasses the entire zoo.

Guests will be given a trick or treat bag and an activity map to help them search for spooky “knock- knock” doors located around the Zoo. There will be ghostly games, tasty “snacktivities,” Halloween-themed crafts, creepy-crawling animal ambassadors and more!
The Racine Zoo’s 2018 Boo at the Zoo will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. throughout the entire Zoo, 2131 N. Main Street. All activities are included with regular Zoo admission, and Zoo members get in free.

The event serves as a fundraiser for all of Racine Zoo’s animals. The zoo receives 100 percent of the funds raised from each Boo At the Zoo event, which helps cover the costs of species survival programs, education programs, conservation efforts and veterinary cost, just to list a few.

Boo at the Zoo will feature ghostly games, tasty “snacktivities,” Halloween-themed crafts, creepy-crawling animal ambassadors and more!

The Racine Zoo is always looking for businesses, groups and organizations to participate in the trunk-or-treat portion of the event. Also, donations of pumpkins are greatly appreciated.

“This is great public exposure for any organization and a fun and unique way to help out within the community,” noted a release from the Racine Zoo. For more information about trunk-or-treat or donating in-kind goods, please visit the Racine Zoo website, or send an email to info@racinezoo.org.
