One 17-year-old boy was from Caledonia. The other two 17-year-old boys were from Racine. The two suspects face felony child abuse charges, according to a press release by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
When rescue personnel responded, the boy was bleeding from his head. Treating him for non-life threatening injuries, he was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital.
Officers searched the area for the suspects, who had fled the area on foot. Both suspects were found nearby and police taken into custody.
Officials don’t have a motive for the attack.
