A boy was taken to the hospital Tuesday after he fell off the rocks and into Lake Michigan.

After falling, the child was under water. Officers with the Racine Police Department tried to rescue the boy, but were unable to do so. Rescue personnel with the Racine Fire Department then pulled the boy to safety. He had a pulse and was taken to Ascension – All Saints Hospital, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

Later the boy was taken to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

 

No further details are being released at this time.
