UPDATE 8:17 a.m.:  Brianna’s friends have told her family that she is OK, but she still has not returned home.

Original story: The family of a missing Racine teenager is asking for the community’s help locating her and getting her home safely.

Brianna Blank, 16, was last seen at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, and her family got worried when she didn’t return home from school and learned that she had not attended class at Horlick High School.

Family members are using social media like Facebook to ask for help finding Blank.

Racine police Sgt. Adam Malacara confirmed for Racine County Eye that they did take a report for a runaway.

If anyone has information about Blank’s whereabouts, they can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at (262) 636-9330, or via text by typing RACS with the tip to 274637 (CRIMES).

We will update this story when details become available.

Editor’s note: This version of the story was updated to reflect that Brianna is 16-years-old.
