A man wanted by Mount Pleasant police for allegedly stealing from Kohl’s and threatening store employees with a gun Friday afternoon was on the run Friday evening.

Racine County Scanner posted reports that the man – Hispanic, around 5′ 10″ and 215 pounds – was running from officers on the southside.

“K9 track in progress,” one of the scanner reports reads.

Earlier in the day, RCS posted that MPPD was called to Kohl’s for a report of a man who stole “merchandise and threatened staff with a gun.”

He was described as wearing black pants rolled up to his knees, tattoos on his legs, Chicago Bulls shirt and cap. The man got into a black Suburban with a partial plate read of L471K.

We will update this story as details become available.
