Photo credit: Real RacineSC Johnson officials told its employees that the company will relocate 175 employees working at its Racine-based headquarters to Chicago, according to a story by WTMJ 4.

While no jobs are being eliminated, the manufacturer of household cleaning supplies plans to upgrade a number of buildings at the SC Johnson campus at 1525 Howe St. The $50 to $80 million project will start this spring and is expected to be completed within the next two years, according to a story by the Journal Times.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel told Fox 6 that SC Johnnson’s announcement was “a vote of confidence in the City of Chicago.”
