The fee for Caledonia’s basic ambulance service will increase about 21 percent to $550 starting in January while lift assist fees will be nixed entirely, according to a story in the Journal Times.

Caledonia village board members unanimously approved the change at its board meeting on Monday night.

The increase is expected to net the village $27,000 in 2015.
