After people were seen looking inside vehicles, Caledonia Police are warning residents to lock their car doors after the suspects were seen over the course of two days near Lakeshore Village and Concord Apartments .

Several people called the police around 11:45 p.m. Sunday and Monday after they saw two people wearing dark hooded jackets using a flashlight to search vehicles near Three Mile Road and Douglas Avenue. Caledonia Police searched the area for the suspects, but they were unable to locate them. To date, no one has reported any car thefts.

“The Caledonia Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to always lock your cars. Hide any valuables inside their car. Activate your car’s alarm if it is so equipped and to always be aware of your surroundings at night,” according to the Caledonia Police Department’s Facebook page.

If your vehicle was entered or you were a victim of a crime against your property, please contact the Racine County Dispatch Center at (262) 886-2300.
