The Caledonia Police Department states that “officers located a father, 61, and son, 31, matching the description given. The son was in possession of a small throwing axe the size of a hammer and he admitted to tossing it in the air while they were walking. Around 4:15 p.m. an officer from the Caledonia Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle called in as a reckless driver due to speed and an apparent inability to drive without swerving. The officer was dispatched to County Highway K at County Highway V. The vehicle failed to yield to the officer and began to flee northbound on I-94 when the officer made an attempt to stop the driver. Following the flee, the pursuit terminated at the Milwaukee County line due to the dangerous driving and road conditions.

Milwaukee County authorities also pursued the vehicle. They, however, also terminated their pursuit due to reckless driving. Later, the vehicle was located in an alley in Milwaukee and the driver was taken into custody by Milwaukee Police on related charges. The driver was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

“The subject engaged in loud, boisterous behavior and was arrested on disorderly conduct and resisting charges as he tried to prevent officers from transporting him to the jail. He was also cited for having false plates on his vehicle after he admitted to driving to court displaying Florida plates on his vehicle.”
