The Caledonia Village Board will hear a presentation and talking about the about the feasibility of creating an independent Caledonia School District at a special board meeting to be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25 at the East Side Community Center, 6156 Douglas Ave.

Several years ago, a group wanted to look at ceding from the Racine Unified School District and creating an independent Racine Unified School District.

Following the meeting, the Caledonia Police Chief Toby Schey will give a report on heroin use in the village.
