Diversity, Inclusion, Privilege training set for April 17
April 17 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PMFree
A virtual Diversity, Inclusion, Privilege interactive training, will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2021, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM CDT. Award-winning trainer, Santo Carfora will use a variety of tools with participants to help them to engage in conversations about inclusion and exclusion. Personal stories are encouraged through small and large group discussions. Interactive privilege exercises will be used to give participants a greater awareness and understanding of white privilege. Participants are also given an opportunity to experience how they are ‘in fact’ building bridges to share their privileges.
Participants can register at www.racinedominicans.org/dcjr. Registered participants will receive a Zoom link the day before the training. There is no charge for the event. A free-will offering can be made at the time of registration. Diversity, Inclusion, Privilege is an offering in the Opening Our Hearts and Minds to End Racism Series sponsored by Racine Interfaith Coalition, Racine Dominican Sisters and Associates, Racine Police Department, Racine Public Library, Racine Vocational Ministry, Siena Retreat Center and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
