UPDATE: The Racine County Sheriff’s Department named Armando S. Garcia as the man that died Thursday in the car crash. ORIGINAL STORY: A 24-year-old man has died and another person was injured in a two-car crash that happened at 3:42 p.m. Thursday in the 22200 block of Highway 20. Several people called 911 to report the crash. One car was found in the ditch. The 24-year-old man, who was driving a 2009 Toyota, sustained fatal injuries. The driver of a 2015 Lexus SUV suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, according to a press release by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department. Crash investigators determined that the driver of the Toyota, which traveled eastbound, went into the shoulder and lost control. It crossed the center line and struck the SUV, which traveled westbound. Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol Accident Reconstruction team assisted the Racine County Sheriff’s Department with the investigation. Officials with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department are not releasing anymore information at this time.
