Mount Pleasant police say a 6-year-old girl is okay with a leg injury was hit by a car Monday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched at 2:53 p.m. to the 2100 block of Howe Street because callers reported that a child was injured after getting hit by a car.
When police arrived, witnesses said a 22-year-old woman was driving north on Howe when the child darted out between parked cars to get a Frisbee.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The child was transported to the hospital and treated for any injury to their leg and released.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this incident.
