A chocolate-filled Saturday is in store for you in Burlington. This weekend also includes a celebration of 1920s jazz, a local talent competition, a craft fair and your last chance for a comedy play. Real Racine has lots of great suggestions..

More than chocolate. Saturday’s annual Chocolate Extravaganza brings amateur cooks and bakers flocking to Burlington High School, 400 McCanna Parkway. The competition, sponsored by Town Bank, awards prizes in cake/pie, bars/cookies, candy and cupcake categories. The entry fee is $5 for adults; $2 for children. Judging starts at 10:30 a.m. There’s also a celebrity cupcake decorating contest and an opportunity to win in the cake walk this year. That’s just part of the day. The Burlington Home & Garden Show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with 100+ vendors, free presentations and Q&A with experts. Admission is $2 for adults. Youth get in free. A jazzy weekend. The Tribute to Bix is a weekend of 1920s ragtime jazz at the Delta Hotels by Marriott, 7111 Washington Ave., Mount Pleasant. It includes concerts by the Sweet Sheiks, the Ragtime Masters and the Dorsey Brothers 1928-34 plus lectures, record swaps and films. The various run from Thursday through Sunday. Catch some talent. The Raising HOPES Talent Competition is 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Siena Center, 5635 Erie St., Caledonia. This annual benefit for the HOPES Center includes food, beverages, silent auction and raffles. Admission is $20 for adults; $10 for youth ages 6 through 12,.

Getting crafty. The Spring Craft Fair is two days of handmade items from local artisans, antiques and a hint of spring. It’s all happening at Borzynski’s Farm & Floral Market, 11600 Washington Ave. (Hwy 20), Mount Pleasant. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday;
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Free admission.

Last chance. There are just a few more performances left of “A Comedy of Tenors” at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave. This farce has wives, girlfriends, slamming doors, mistaken identities and opera singers!
