For many, the key to finding and keeping employment is being able to drive themselves to work. The City of Racine Municipal Court will hold a driver’s license recovery day, Nov. 29, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The court will consider reinstatement requests for licenses suspended by the City of Racine Municipal Court. Suspensions will be lifted for full payment or first payment on a payment plan.

Appointments are limited. To register, call 262-636-9263

To be eligible for the program an individual must:
• Have a license suspended by the City of Racine Municipal Court for nonpayment or forfeitures
• Have no current or pending Operating While Intoxicated charges
• Have a safe driving record

Suspensions can not be lifted those who have those suspensions imposed by Racine County Circuit Court or any other municipality’s municipal court, such as Caledonia, Mount Pleasant, etc.

The State of Wisconsin charges a $60 fee for reinstatement of a driver’s license. For more information about state fees and charges visit this website.
