Racine – Registration forms for City of Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services’ (PRCS) Track and Field youth athletic event are now available at any of the city’s five community centers (Bryant, Chavez, Humble, King and Tyler-Domer), on the City of Racine website (cityofracine.org/ParksRec), and at the PRCS office, 800 Center St., Rm. 127.

The event will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Hammes Athletic Field, Case High School, 7345 Washington Ave., in Racine. The event is rescheduled for Tuesday, May 7, should inclement weather force a postponement.

This track and field program is a free activity designed for the beginner or novice athlete. The competition is open to boys and girls ages 9-14 as of December 31, 2019. Athletes may participate in two track and one field event, or two field events and one track event.

The first place finishers from this local competition will advance to the district meet in Milwaukee, WI. First and second place finishers at the district meet will advance to the state meet at a site and date to be determined.

To register, parents/guardians are asked to complete a registration form and provide a legal birth document for age verification. Registration is accepted Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the PRCS office, 800 Center St., Rm. 127, through the deadline date of Friday, April 26, 2019. Participants who would like to order an event t- shirt may do so at the time of registration for a fee of $7.
