A 38-year-old Racine man faces four felony charges of manufacturing/delivering cocaine and one felony charge of maintaining a drug-trafficking place.

The cocaine-related charges filed Thursday in Racine County Circuit Court against David L. Luckett each carry a fine of $25,000 and 10 years in prison. The other felony carries a fine of $10,000 and three years, six months in prison.

According to the criminal complaint: On four separate occasions, a confidential informant met with Luckett to purchase crack cocaine.

The informant and Luckett met Sept. 27 at 2100 Main St., where the defendant provided three baggies that contained 0.9 grams of crack cocaine. The following day, an informant purchased 0.5 grams of crack cocaine, according to reports.

Two more purchases were arranged on Oct. 2 and 3, when Luckett sold the informant 1.1 grams of crack cocaine.

Court records indicate that Luckett has a previous felony conviction for delivery of cocaine and for maintaining a drug-trafficking place. Luckett made his initial court appearance Thursday.
