No one was injured in a garage fire that happened at 11:34 p.m. Saturday at a residence located at 800 College Avenue.

The garage and the contents inside it, however, are estimated at a $13,000 loss, according to a press release by the Racine Fire Department.

An off-duty deputy with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department called the fire into the dispatch center. When crews from the Racine Fire Department arrived, they were able to attack the fire within 20 minutes. This saved the home from being damaged.

Only the garage and contents were a loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
