After receiving three consumer complaints about hard, blue plastic in their chicken patties, OSI Industries is recalling packages of On-Cor Microwaveable Chicken Patties.

OSI is located in Fort Atkinson.

According to a press release from the USDA, the contamination may have been caused by a trim repair on a belt at the facility that produces the patties, but there haven’t been any reports of consumers becoming ill.

“There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products,” the statement reads.

The affected packages weigh 35 oz. (two pounds, three ounces) and are labeled with “P-5615” and have a use-by date of August 5, 2017.

“Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase,” the statement continues.

Racine County residents could be affected; products were shipped to Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin.
