Residents are invited to attend a public information meeting on April 6 about the proposed reconstruction of Highway MM between Highways 31 and 38.

Construction is scheduled for 2018, and work is expected to include:

  • Replacing the the entire surface;
  • Replacing the subgrade;
  • Repairing drainage structures;
  • Adding bicycle lanes;
  • Improving the intersection of MM and 38; and
  • Adding turn lanes at Circle Drive and Rivershore Drive

Personnel from Graef (project designers and engineers) and Racine County will be on hand to explain the components of the project and to answer any questions residents might have.

“Persons with a concern for or knowledge of historic buildings, structures, and archaeological sites are encouraged to attend this meeting,” a press release from the county reads.

The meeting is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Meadowbrook Country Club, 2149 N. Green Bay Road in Mount Pleasant.
