The first purchase of a larger development on Spring and Highway 31 went through, Renaissance School bought the building it occupies, Strouf Funeral Homes sold and the land purchase for Dayton Freight went through at the end of 2015, according to Racine County property transfer records.

Here are the highlights:

  • The former Gup’s First Stop Oil Change, 4815 Spring St., sold to the Wilkomm Company for $570,000. The sale is part of a larger development that includes a gas station, convenience store, car wash and restaurant development at the corner of Highway 31 and Spring Street.
  • Renaissance School Inc., 6150 Taylor Ave., bought the building it currently occupies from Frank Trecroci Jr., of Kenosha, for $1.85 million.
  • Robert G. Guddie II, became the new owner of Strouf Funeral Homes, 1001 High St., for $384,300.
  • Dayton Freight Lines, a freight carrier based in Dayton, OH, bought 33 acres of land in Sturtevant from Pitts Brothers for $1.2 million.
