Voters in the City of Racine’s contested aldermanic races chose challengers over incumbents and candidates with more legislative experience.

In the 5th district, Steve Smetana won over Monte Osterman, 542 over 439, and in the 7th district, Mohr edged out Ray DeHahn by 13 votes; 260 to 247. Voters in the 11th and 15th districts decided to go with challengers Eric Mohr and Melissa Lemke over write-in candidate Angelo Karamitos and incumbent Eddie Diehl.

Land took 419 votes to Karamitos’ 24, and Lemke ended the night with 544 votes over Diehl’s 418.

Results are not official, but the city’s elections website does list all wards in each of district reporting.
