Donald L. Christiansen, 79, passed away Monday at Manor Care, Kenosha. Born in Racine on May 28, 1938, he was the son of the late Louis and Inez (Nee: Langberg) Christiansen.
Don graduated from Washington Park High School in 1956. He also proudly served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Siam Transportation. Previously he was employed as a salesman with InSinkErator, Knox and Yellow Freight. Don was an avid golfer and former member of the Kenosha Country Club. He also enjoyed cheering on the Cubs and Packers. Above all Don was a loving and caring person who was very generous to all. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his daughter, Lesli Christiansen Beutel of Racine; his stepson, Sean P. Anglin of Racine; grandson, Scott R. Anglin; special friend, Judie Williquette; his four-legged friend Bella; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Nee: Potthoff) Christiansen.
Funeral services followed by full military honors will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home, 803 Main St. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and at 2:30 pm. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery.
