The season of construction continues with scheduled work on Highway 11 starting sometime next month in both Sturtevant and Mount Pleasant.
While the larger project of widening Durand Avenue, adding strategically placed turn lanes and even a bike lane remains on hold, crews will get started in July replacing pavement, adding new signage and improving lighting, a story in The Journal Times reads.
The work will extend from 92nd Street in Sturtevant to just west of Highway 31 in Mount Pleasant; a total of about 1-1/2 miles. There will be one lane available in each direction.
Work will complete later this fall.
