Motorists who use the State Street bridge will need to take an alternate route Tuesday morning.
The bridge will be closed for a scheduled repair to the bridge’s barricade system, a story in The Journal Times reads. The work is expected to keep the bridge closed from 8 a.m. to noon.
Signs will be posted leading drivers to Dodge and Erie streets to get around the closure.
The barricade is located in the eastbound lanes and keeps cars from pitching into the Root River when the bridge is lifted.
“We want to take advantage of the good weather that we’ll have,” Public Works Commissioner Mark Yehlen told the newspaper.
