Journalism. We believe it should help you live a better life.
That’s why we spend a lot less time on publishing mug shots and a lot more time helping you understand the employment market, figure out how to spend more time with friends and family with our events calendar, and what you can do to help businesses that have opened up. Make no mistake…we aren’t shy. We tackle the big stuff, like COVID and issues around race.
And if you believe in the value of journalism — that it should help, not exploit — please consider becoming a paid member of the Racine County Eye today. We can’t do this work without you.
Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann Davis, died on Wednesday, September 11th. She was born Dec 4, 1964 in Racine WI, daughter of the late James and Geraldine (Nee:Tidd) Davis Sr. Although she comes from a small biological family, anyone who was her friend, became family to her instantly.
Elizabeth was an advocate for all animals big or small and had several animal companions throughout her lifetime. Her most beloved dog, Maggie Moo, and cat, Itty Bitty, passed very recently as well and are sure to be there to greet her at the gates of heaven. She leaves behind her newest kitten, Gemma. Elizabeth’s love for mysteries and the paranormal kept her busy reading and watching her favorite tv shows. She also loved hockey, knitting, and baking and was well known for her delicious desserts. She was a genuine and selfless person who gave all of herself to everyone who knew her.
Elizabeth was a dear friend to so many and her presence will definitely be missed by all who knew her, for she will be remembered forever. May her soul rest in eternal peace and tranquility that her body never knew here on Earth.
A Memorial gathering for Elizabeth will be held Sunday Oct 6th, at Maresh Meredith Funeral Home, 803 Main Street in Racine. Visitation will be held from 4- 5:30 p.m. with a time to share memories at 5:30 p.m. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
Please send condolences to Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home.
