… we have a small favor to ask. Thousands of people have placed their trust in the Racine County Eye’s high-impact journalism because we focus on solutions-based journalism.

With no shareholders or billionaire owners, we can provide trustworthy journalism that focuses on helping readers.

Unlike many others, Racine County Eye’s journalism is available for everyone to read, regardless of what they can afford to pay. We do this because we believe in information equality. Greater numbers of people can keep track of events, understand their impact on people and communities, and become inspired to take meaningful action.

If there were ever a time to join us, it is now. Every contribution, however big or small, powers our journalism and sustains our future. Support the Racine County Eye from as little as $5 – it only takes a minute. Thank you.

Your contribution is appreciated.

The annual Empty Bowls event is coming up on March 4th. Empty Bowls is a one-of-a kind annual fundraiser that brings the community together to enjoy the work of area artists, schools, bakeries, restaurants, entertainers businesses to raise funds that benefit the Racine County Food Bank and HALO (Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization). Last year Empty Bowls raised over $35,000 to help feed those who are hungry and in need in Racine county.

At the Empty Bowls event , you have your choice, from a collection of hundreds of ceramic bowls. Some will be handcrafted and all are donated. Donations come from local artists, teachers and students. Grab your bowl and you will be served by local city, county, business and educational leaders. All soups and breads are prepared and donated by our local chefs.
Lunch is served from 11-2pm and dinner is served 4-7pm at the Festival Hall downtown Racine.
