Mary’s flying back. Everybody’s favorite practically perfect nanny, “Mary Poppins”, returns this weekend to the Racine Theatre Guild stage, 2519 Northwestern Ave. This delightful musical was so popular a year ago that it’s being brought back to entertain families once again. “Mary” is here for just two weekends — Friday through Sunday and Dec. 16-18. Holiday tradition. It’s the best way to get into the holiday spirit! The annual Racine Symphony Orchestra (RSO) Holiday Pops concert is 7 p.m. Friday at Festival Hall, 5 Fifth St. Guest vocalist Bob Benson will perform holiday favorites. Lend a hand. You can help out the area’s homeless population — and catch some great local music — at BlankFest Wisconsin X this Friday and Saturday at McAuliffe’s Pub, 3700 Meachem Road, Mount Pleasant. Doors open at 8 p.m. Admission is a new or gently used blanket or $10 cash. Organizers will also be accepting socks, gloves and toiletries.

A Christmas tale. The kids will love “Mrs. Claus and the Littlest Reindeer,” an original holiday season musical show presented at Apple Holler Farm, 5006 S. Sylvania Ave., Yorkville. On stage. Over Our Head Players’ production of the dark comedy, “A Behanding in Spokane”, continues Friday through Sunday at the Sixth Street Theatre, 318 Sixth St., Racine. Make it brassy. The Belle City Brassworks Brass Band’s annual holiday concert, “A Brass Christmas”, is coming next Wednesday (Dec. 14) at 7:30 p.m. to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., Racine. The band will be joined by the Sacred Heart vocal ensemble and bell choir. Free admission; donations accepted.
