Elementary, middle and high school orchestra students came together Saturday at Washington Park High School to create beautiful music for the bi-ennial orchestra festival.

After a number of musical pieces were performed by students in each grade group and even by individual schools before Alvaro Garcia took the center podium to conduct the entire group for the finale, William Tell’s “1812 Overture.”

Garcia is the director of the UW-Parkside Symphony and the UW-Parkside Community Orchestra.
