Congratulations are in order for the Mitchell Middle School Fluid Power Team! Once again, Mitchell’s four-student AfterZones STEM team came out on top at the national championship.

For the last six of seven years, Mitchell students have brought home the national trophy after competing against dozens of teams from across the country during the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s National Fluid Power Championship, a post on the Racine Unified website reads.

In order to score top marks, the team had to outperform others in:

  • Engineering design
  • Engineering portfolio
  • Teamwork
  • Machine operation

The Mitchell Middle School AfterZones STEM team are Destiny Kilnkhammer, Travis Patrick, Jon Sparks and Connor Zieman.

Love what we do?
