American soldiers far from home will get a note of holiday cheer and appreciation this season from Racine Unified students.
Eighth grade students from Gilmore Middle School and freshman from J.I. Case High School last week partnered with Gifford Elementary School students to make 300 cards for soldiers stationed overseas, according to a story on the Racine Unified website.
The afternoon project was accompanied by holiday music provided by the Case students while the 8th graders worked with the younger students.
