Congratulations are in order for two William Horlick High School students who have been named school winners of the Wendy’s High School Heisman program.
Mason Kiefer and Jennifer Olle were chosen because of their commitment and passion both on and off the field, a post on the Racine Unified website reads.
“These students are known by their teachers and friends for their commitment to excellence. We are excited and honored that a program like Wendy’s High School Heisman is also recognizing their hard work,” Joe Wendt, Horlick activities director and freshman academy principal, told the district.
The Wendy’s High School Heisman scholarship program has been helping student-athletes reach for the dreams since 1994 by awarding scholarships to outstanding young people.
At the state level, 20 students – 10 male, 10 female – are selected from the school winners. Two students will move on to the national level and the chance to take home a $10,000 scholarship.
