Five J.I. Case High School football players were recognized Monday by the Racine Unified Board of Education for their service off the field.
Alex Rogers, Tyreik Thomas, Derrick Montgomery, RJ Benisch and Kieran Oates are student-athletes who volunteer with area youth football by obtaining youth football coaching certification.
“Not only (have these young men) shown excellent leadership on the Case High School football team, but they have also completed the process to become certified youth football coaches – and with that – have done some pretty impressive work with Racine’s youngest future Eagles,” Case Head Coach Bryan Shredl told BOE members, according to the story on the RUSD website.
