The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center will be hosting an Adult Mental Health Discussion Series weekly during the month of October to tackle different mental health related subjects.

Felicia S. Smith, MSW will be leading the series on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Community Center., 1134 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

Dates and topics to be covered are:

  • October 2: What is Mental Health? Mental health affects how we as individuals think, our behaviors, and how we socialize
  • October 9: What is Anxiety? Anxiety affects millions of adults
  • October 16: What is Depression? Some signs and symptoms of depression October 23: Community Resources: Local resources that are available
