Despite not having to actually dig, company representatives from Festival Foods joined officials from Mount Pleasant and Racine County for an official ground breaking for the new store at 5740 Washington Avenue.
The Onalaska-based grocery chain bought the former Sentry location earlier this year and is working to expand the 57,000 square foot space to 71,000 square feet by renovating the space where Nutritional Designs and Pharmacy was located. A 13,000 square foot addition in the back of the building is also under construction for shipping and receiving.
Festival Foods is scheduled to open by mid-December and is accepting applications for between 40 and 70 positions. Go to the Festival Foods job board to fill out an application.
