No one was injured in a house fire that happened at 3:32 p.m. Monday at 5413 Athens Avenue.

The cause of the fire remains under investiation, but officials with the Racine Fire Department report that the fire started in an electrical panel.

Fire and rescue personnel responded to a report of heavy smoke coming out of a basement electrical pane. The fire was contained in the basement, but heavy smoke damage and loss of power caused the home to be uninhabitable. Red Cross workers helped the family find other accomadations.

The loss is estimated at $3,500.
